Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of toqe — the apps, the website, and your licence. They’re written to be readable; please do read them.
Last updated: 18 July 2026. By downloading, buying, or using toqe you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The short version
- Buying toqe gives you a personal licence to use it on your devices. It’s a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- A free 14-day trial lets you decide before paying, so purchases are final — your statutory rights (e.g. faulty software) always stand.
- Your data — and the cloud accounts you connect — are yours and your responsibility, including keeping backups.
- toqe helps you plan; it is not financial, tax, or accounting advice.
- The software is provided “as is”, and our liability is limited, as spelled out below.
Who you’re agreeing with
toqe is made and licensed by Second March (“we”, “us”). Purchases are sold through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Questions: hello@secondmarch.xyz.
Your licence
When you buy toqe, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are met. The software is licensed, not sold — we and our licensors keep all intellectual-property rights in toqe itself. Your data is entirely your own; the licence is about the app, not your content.
Free trial, purchase and refunds
toqe offers a free 14-day trial, so you can try everything before you pay. Because you can fully evaluate it first, purchases are final — we don’t run a routine money-back guarantee. That said, if something goes wrong or toqe doesn’t work as described, email us and we’ll put it right.
This never overrides your statutory rights: where consumer law (such as in the UK or EU) entitles you to a refund for faulty or misdescribed software, those rights always apply. Purchases are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, so any refund is handled through them under their policy.
Your data and your responsibilities
toqe keeps your data in a file you own. You’re responsible for that file — where you store it, and keeping your own backups. toqe makes rolling local backups where it can, but it can’t protect against a lost device, a deleted file, or a sync conflict you resolve the wrong way. Keep a copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.
If you connect a third-party service (Dropbox, iCloud, Google, Notion), you’re responsible for your account there and for complying with that service’s terms. toqe reads and writes only its own file through the access you grant, but the account and its contents remain your responsibility.
Acceptable use
Please don’t: resell, rent, sub-license or redistribute toqe; remove or work around its licensing; reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly permits; or use it to do anything unlawful. Normal personal and business use of the app for your own freelancing is exactly what it’s for.
Third-party services
toqe can connect to services run by others (Dropbox, Apple, Google, Notion) and, on the website, relies on providers like Vercel and Lemon Squeezy. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their availability, changes, or terms. Your use of them is governed by their agreements with you.
Not financial or tax advice
toqe produces forecasts, tax set-aside estimates and other figures to help you plan. These are estimates based on the information you enter and general assumptions — they are not financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice, and they may be wrong or incomplete. For decisions that matter, check with a qualified accountant or adviser. You’re responsible for your own financial and tax affairs.
Updates
We may release updates that fix, change, or improve toqe, and the app may install them (you can check for updates in the app). We may also change or discontinue features over time. We’ll aim not to break your existing data when we do.
Warranty disclaimer
toqe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its forecasts will be accurate. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Second March won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) toqe. Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using toqe at any time. Your licence ends if you materially breach these terms. Because your data lives with you, ending the licence doesn’t take your data — it remains in your file.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; when we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, make them clear. Continuing to use toqe after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you rights that must be honoured where you live.
