Settings

The knobs, honestly labelled — money, tax, invoicing, appearance, data, connections.

Settings → Appearance — the pipeline colour schemes, with display toggles below

The sections

  • Money — cash on hand (the forecast simulates forward from it), your safety buffer, usual day rate, and the currencies you work in.
  • Tax — where you pay tax (the recipe), VAT registration, the fiscal year, and when tax leaves the balance (Tax explains the timing choice).
  • Invoicing — your sender block, logo and signature, bank details per currency, payment terms, and the numbering scheme (Invoicing covers sequences).
  • Appearance — themes, colours and display switches; below.
  • Data — where the document lives, backups, the import tool, password protection (Your data).
  • Connections — Google Calendar (events into “This week”, bookings mirrored out) and the Notion token for the legacy pull. Tokens stay on the machine, never in the shared document.
  • Experimental — features still earning their place.
  • About — version, licence, and the release notes.

Appearance

Two themes — Cream and Onyx — with the topbar toggle one click between them. Pipeline colours decide how the eight statuses (and the day-off amber) paint every surface. The four built-in schemes each walk a different logic — these strips are the schemes themselves, drawn from the same definitions the app applies:

Create custom palette opens an editor that recolours the live app as you type, per theme. Palettes travel as PNG cards — a picture with a QR code that any toqe imports, and a link that opens the palette in the web app for someone without it. Display switches cover the rest: full window width, whether timeline bars and History rows wear their status, panel opacity.

The palette editor — a fill and a text colour per pipeline step, the day-off amber and out-of-play colours below, a Cream/Onyx toggle in the corner

Layout preferences — view picks, sorts, filters, column widths — live in the document, so they follow you between machines; a per-machine switch opts one screen out when its size genuinely differs.

KeysWhat happens
⌘K / Ctrl+KSearch everything — projects, clients, invoices, expenses — and land on the row.
⌘S / Ctrl+SSave now, with the indicator confirming the write landed.
EscCloses the top-most thing — a popover before a card, a card before the page.
Shift-click (calendars)Fill the working days between two ends.

The theme toggle, the calendar rail and the bell all live in the top bar, on every page.
